Bodegas y Viñedos Artazu
In 1996, Juan Carlos López de Lacalle, inspired by his friendship with pioneering Central Coast vintner Randall Graham of Bonny Doon, made his first foray into the historical wine region of Navarra. This viticultural area is defined by both brown-limestone and clay-calcareous soils. These are nutrient-poor and rugged plots, where the climate is hard and full of contrasts: dry and hot in the summer, and cold and humid in the winter. The result: a beautiful expression of Atlantic Garnacha.
