Pineau des Charentes

• Blanc Pineau des Charentes (AOC-protected vins de liqueur) produced by Raymond Ragnaud in Ambleville in Cognac’s Grande Champagne cru
• Two-thirds Colombard grape must is combined with one-third Cognac distilled from Ugni Blanc and aged 2 years
• The blend is aged for a minimum of 4 years in French oak casks
• A fruit-forward nose is complemented by candied fennel and a touch of rancio. Lovely lift on the palate exhibits dry hay, orange peel, and canned-peach nectar with a hint of sultanas.
• 17% ABV
