Vieux Marc de Bandol

• 100% Mourvèdre
• At the end of vinification of the Mourvèdre, after maceration and the wine has been racked to barrel, the leftover solids are destemmed and distilled
• Distillation is done in a copper still over a wood fire. The heads and tails are removed
• Aged 24 years in 418L Limousin oak (2/3rd new)
• No additives or dyes
• The nose is smooth, dense, and elegant, developing complex aromas of raisins, plums, and sweet spices, with a slight liquorice note. The palate is clean and totally enveloping, with a very pleasant smoothness that extends to a long sensual finish.
