The 2020 vintage of Fuenteseca’s Cosecha, or “harvest,” blanco tequila was distilled from Pinto Blue Weber—a subtype of Agave tequilana notable for the dark spotting that covers its pencas—grown over 6,700 feet above sea level in the red, iron-rich, volcanic sandy loam soil of San Ignacio Cerro Gordo. The high nutrient content of the soil combined with the cool climate of the region offer ideal conditions for agave growth and contribute to the soft florality and gentle sweetness of this exquisite batch.
