"The 2023 Syrah Bionic Frog comes from biodynamically farmed vines planted in 1998 in silty loam and basalt cobblestones. Matured for 18 months in around 20% new French oak, it has pure, inviting scents of blackberry, boysenberry, garrigue, forest floor and tobacco. The medium-bodied palate is bursting with spicy brambly fruit. It's framed by refined, chalky tannins and refreshing acidity and has a long, floral finish. 545 cases were made."

"From a site planted in 1998 to ungrafted vines at relative elevation (935 feet above sea level), the 2022 Syrah Bionic Frog has a nose of mustard seed and wildflowers, the mouthfeel a wonder in umami and soy. The medium-bodied palate is dense in blueberry and garrigue, lengthy, balanced, and elegantly fresh. This is one worth aging 20-30 years."
