"The 2024 Saint-Veran De Prisse a Chasselas is the renamed Prelude since the local co-operative had a similarly titled cuvee. Aged in foudres and demi-muids, it has a pretty nose with yellow flower and waxy scents. A little sunny in style compared to the domaine's other wines. The palate is well balanced and armed with very pure fruit, lightly spiced, with ginger and white pepper combining nicely on the linear finish."

"The 2023 Saint Véran Prélude, which comes from the most precocious vines around Chasselas, is raised 50% in stainless steel and the rest in demi-muids and foudres. It has a fine nose with detailed yellow fruit and waxy aromas, again just the veil of reduction that will lift with time. The palate is more expressive with a silver bead of acidity, orange rind and light apricot notes, lively with a touch of lemongrass on the finish. Give this a year in bottle."
