"This wine exudes the finesse and class of this grand cru. Aromas of blue and red fruit, flowers and stony minerality with a savory undertone coming form a hint of reduction. The palate is seamlessly integrated, with silky tannins and a textural, silky mouthfeel. This is everything you could expect and more from the 2023 vintage. Truly excellent. Drink now or lay down for decades; either decision is the right one."

"The 2023 Romanée-Saint-Vivant Grand Cru has a gorgeous bouquet that blossoms in the glass. Dark cherries, touches of violet and iodine just soar with aeration"wonderfully delineated. The palate is medium-bodied with svelte tannins and a killer line of acidity, very harmonious through the linear and poised finish. This is quite understated for an RSV. Lovely."

"The 2020 Romanée-Saint-Vivant Grand Cru has an expressive bouquet with fine delineation, redcurrant and raspberry fruit, hints of candied orange peel and just a little camphor. Yet there is a discreetness that I admire, and it unfolds wonderfully in the glass. The palate is medium-bodied with sappy red fruit, nicely detailed, fresh and marine-influenced. It is very harmonious; there's a very grandiose finish that lingers seductively. One of the best wines that I have ever tasted from the Domaine. Tasted blind at the Burgfest tasting."

"The bouquet of this beautiful Romanee-St.-Vivant is like a cloud of red fruit and summer flowers. Then you descend into the wonderful velvet of the palate that™s wrapped around a firm structure that should give it decades of life. Very long finish, where the fine tannins give this great textural complexity. From biodynamically grown grapes. Drink or hold."

"The 2021 Romanée-Saint-Vivant Grand Cru clearly has whole bunch presence on the nose with brambly red fruit. Very elegant in style, it just blossoms in the glass. The palate is medium-bodied with crunchy red berry fruit, soy and brown spices. Quite savoury compared to its peers, it has insistent grip and a healthy pinch of cracked black pepper on the tertiary finish. If you do not like stems, then avoid this, but I feel that it should all come together with time in bottle. Tasted blind at the Burgfest tasting."
