"The 2023 Maranges Clos Rousseau 1er Cru contains around 60% whole bunch in order to reduce the tannic structure and render it more supple. It has an expressive bouquet with raspberry and bergamot scents, perhaps the most floral of the Domaine's reds. The palate is medium-bodied, fresh and vibrant with pliant tannins. A twist of sour cherry emerges toward the prolonged finish. This is just a delicious Maranges that certainly benefits from that more generous stem addition."

"Intense mid ruby. Lots of floral character on top of bright red fruits. Cherry and raspberry. Quite robust in structure, with a slight bitterness on the finish. Chunky and stocky. (MH)"
