"A perfumed red, with dried lavender and rosemary notes wafting through flavors of pureed raspberry, plum sauce, blood orange peel and clove. Silky in texture, with juicy acidity and light, sandy tannins firming the mineral-laced finish. Drink now through 2033."A.N."

"The brightness, lovely density and focus come through clearly here with an almost pinot sensibility and a long finish. It™s polished with fine tannins and a brilliant texture. Mostly grapes from San Lorenzo and Calderara Sottana vineyards. Drink or hold."

"There™s a cranberry crunch to this wine™s juicy cherry and plum flavors, the fruit framed by chewy tannins that make this wine immediately approachable. Its fresh floral scents and midweight frame give it the drinkability of a pinot noir, yet it reveals Etna™s serious side in the layers of dark tar and black tea that flow beneath the bright fruit tones. This is always a good bet if you spot it on a wine list."

"Made with 98% Nerello Mascalese and 2% Nerello Cappuccio, the Tenuta delle Terre Nere 2022 Etna Rosso is an ample and ambitious production of 160,000 bottles. Fruit from the youngest vines is directed here and is selected from across the estate's holdings on the north-facing side of the volcano, where some of the best vineyards are located. With 14 months in French oak casks, the wine opens to a lean garnet appearance with aromas of pressed violet, cassis and Sicilian blood orange. It ends with balanced freshness over a mid-weight texture and a pop of bright cherry."

"Fragrant and refined, the straight Etna Rosso 2022 from Tenuta delle Terre Nere is fantastic, and even more amazing is that this is the firm™s entry level red. Made with Nerello Mascalese and a tiny percentage of Nerello Cappuccio, it opens with alluring scents of small red berry, wild herb, hay and spice while the smooth, savory palate features crushed raspberry, wild strawberry and baking spice. A saline tang signals the close while lithe tannins and fresh acidity keep it balanced. Drink through 2029. Abv: 14% Kerin O™Keefe July 2024"

"Incredibly spicy, the 2022 Etna Rosso bursts from the glass with a wild bouquet of cloves and incense, giving way to dried cherries and sage. This is silky-smooth, with cooling acidity lifting its dense core of ripe red berry fruits as crunchy mineral tones resonate throughout. The 2022 finishes impossibly long and staining yet only gently tannic, leaving a lovely air of lavender and cloves that echoes on. Terre Nere continues to raise the bar with their Etna Rosso; it now has its own barrel-aging facility, which has allowed them to keep the wine in barrel between 14 to 16 months."

"The 2023 Etna Rosso seduces with a burst of ripe cherries, cloves and sweet rose aromas. This is an energetic and wickedly fresh effort with a cascade of wild berry fruit and crunchy mineral tones that flow beneath an air of violet inner florals. A coating of fine tannins frames the finish without slowing its momentum as this tapers off with amazing length and a saturation of raspberry. The 2023 aims to please."

"A fresh red, offering an open-knit, accessible feel. Yet there's focus and length, with integrated flavors of plumped raspberry, plum skin and mineral. Shows a touch of tobacco, with fine, taut tannins. Drink now through 2032. 11,000 cases made, 3,000 cases imported."

"2022 marks the 20th anniversary of Marco de Grazia's Tenuta delle Terre Nere Etna project. From vines in Randazzo and Castiglione di Sicilia, this Rosso is fittingly on point, offering a wonderful fragrance of bright cherry, herbs and a streak of salinity. Tight and zippy, it has all the energy you'd expect from younger vines in a successful vintage, allied to some background oak."

"Sourced from vines in the communes of Randazzo and Castiglione di Sicilia on the north side of the volcano, and incorporating 2% Nerello Cappuccio, this wine is vinified in stainless steel before undergoing malo and 11 months of ageing in French oak botti, followed by one month in stainless steel. The 2021 has an earthy, dusty, stony nose which begins to reveal floral and cherry characteristics with some air. Fragrant, light on its feet and incredibly fresh †ÿalmost zingy †ÿthis is a delightful red with subtle texture and tannins, displaying plenty of spice to accompany the cherry and wood notes. Savoury, earthy depth on the long, vibrant finish. 120,000 bottles produced."

"A reflective red color, the 2023 Etna Rosso is charming and leaps from the glass with notes of mixed berries, sweet herbs, fennel fronds, and candied roses. Medium-bodied and juicy, it has fine, polished tannins and a lovely, balanced, ripe feel through the finish. It's a versatile wine to drink now or over the coming 5-6 years."
