- Vines range between 50-100 years old
- Black pumice with solid volcanic rock. The stoniest Contrada in the north slope of the Etna Appellation
- Harvested at the beginning of October, the grapes go through a soft pressing and low temperature fermentation
- Spontaneous malolactic fermentation and aging in French barriques as well as tonneaux
- Aging in barrel for 14-16 months with 1 month additional in stainless steel
