"Aged for nearly two years in 100% new French oak, this baby is going to need air, time or both to unwind. Cool earth and black raspberry aromas are punctuated by notes of blueberry fruit leather and brownie mix batter. An earthy elderberry flavor is joined by lemon zest, espresso shots and cedar. Drink 2025†2038. Cellar Selection. ‡M.A."

"The 2021 Cabernet Sauvignon Old Vines is a smaller production release and is based on 92% Cabernet Sauvignon, 5% Petit Verdot, and 3% Malbec raised all in 100% new French oak barrels. It has a tight, reserved, yet incredibly promising style in its smoky black fruits, truffly earth, iron, and tobacco-driven aromas and flavors. On the palate, it's medium to full-bodied and concentrated, with a stacked mid-palate and ripe, building tannins. It needs air to show at its best today, and this beauty deserves 4-5 years of bottle age. I wouldn't be surprised to see it have over two decades of overall longevity."

"Notes of sweet sage and cedar elevate a dark mélange of mocha and plum sauce as the alluring 2021 Cabernet Sauvignon Old Vines grumbles up from the glass. This tricks the palate with its soothing textures, juicy personality and ripe red and black fruits. Gritty tannins slowly mount toward the close. The 2021 clamps down hard through the finale, youthfully structured and intense yet incredibly long. A bump of residual acidity adds unexpected freshness. This will require patience, but it will be worth the wait."

"A compact and flavorful cabernet showing roasted herbs, charred bark and blackberry fruit on the nose. Some walnuts and espresso. It™s full-bodied and dense with broad tannins. Drink or hold."

"Yet again, one of Washington™s most iconic wines delivers greatness. A rich black-cherry aroma hit the nose first, followed by touches of cacao nibs, orange-flavored pipe tobacco, and iron filings. The full-bodied Cabernet Sauvignon™s boysenberry, cedar, and espresso flavors are escorted by grippy tannins that make for a chewy texture. Decant if opened any time soon, enjoy 2027 through 2042. Cellar Selection. "M.A."

"Opening slowly in the glass, the 2020 Cabernet Sauvignon Old Vines from blends dusty dried roses with crushed black raspberry, dried cherries, savory exotic spice and the slightest hint of animal musk that adds an Old World flair. It's rich and textural on the palate, balanced by brisk acids and cooling mineral tones, displaying potent wild berry fruits and wild herbal tones that form toward the close. A wall of grippy tannins penetrate deeply as red currant notes mix with cola and mocha through the long and dramatic finale. This is packed full of potential, but the 2020 is just begging for a long stay in the cellar to show its best."

"The 2020 Cabernet Sauvignon Old Vines, blended with splashes of Petit Verdot and Malbec, reveals a dusty essence of red and black fruits on the nose, intertwined with graphite and fresh red flowers. Full-bodied, the wine unpacks layers of complexity on the palate, featuring a spicy mineral tension, tannic edge and succulent acidity. It delights the senses with a long, lingering and spicy finish. This delightful, food-friendly wine aged in 100% new French oak for 20 months. Just under 9,000 bottles were filled. Bravo!"

"Sage, dried-earth, currant and coffee aromas here, together with some anise. Earthy and savory, with full body, ripe tannins and a soft, plump yet persistent finish. Why wait? Drink now."
