"The 2019 Metodo Classico Nerello Mascalese Brut is a bright, silver/straw color, and it exhibits great verticality, with a medium-bodied profile that shows beautifully now, although it can easily age for another 15 years. Brioche, white peach, fresh berries, orange zest, and floral perfume are followed by a medium-bodied white that™s rounded, with a refined mousse, lovely length, and a mineral texture driving the wine. Drink 2025-2040."

"It's not often that one finds complexity and balance in an affordably priced, traditional-method brut, but Murgo delivers. In doing so, we see that Nerello Mascalese is a versatile grape that successfully lends itself to bubbles. This wine opens with a hint of matchstick on the nose, which quickly transforms to grilled peach and apricot with a touch of cream. The bubbles are nicely structured, and there's good acidity. Coming across as dry on the palate, this is an excellent aperitif; pair it with prosciutto e melone and you are off to a great evening."

"The 2022 Brut Metodo Classico wafts up with an incredibly fresh bouquet that blends wildflowers with stone dust, young peach and hints of ground ginger. This presents a lovely balance of creamy bubbles and tart orchard fruits, elevated by zesty acidity and notes of candied citrus toward the close. A cheek-puckering tension forms toward the close, simply begging the taster back to the glass for more. Disgorged: December 2023."

"A silky mousse dovetails with flavors of tangy citrus and a hint of red berries, those fruit tones woven with bright salinity and lemony acidity. This is a pure nerello mascalese grown on the eastern slopes of Sicily™s Mt. Etna, the wine™s clean and zesty finish a match for seafood."

"The 2022 Etna Rosso from Murgo opens with delicate scents of red berry, ash and lavender. Made with 90% Nerello Mascalese and 10% Nerello Cappuccio from vineyards on the Eastern slopes of the volcano, it™s ethereally elegant and linear, featuring wild strawberry, red cherry, white pepper and saline notes before a green tea finish. Polished tannins offer easygoing support. Abv: 13.5% Kerin O™Keefe June 2025"
