"Vibrant and very elegant, this has terrific lemon blossom and candied lemon aromas on the sleek, barely medium-bodied palate. Driving freshness in the extremely long, laser-focused finish. A touch of red berry fruit develops in the glass. From vines planted in 1974. Drink or hold."

"A beautiful sparkling wine from the Hermann J. Wiemer team from Chardonnay planted in 1974 by Charles Fournier on the east side of Seneca Lake. Crisp green apple, grapefruit pith, lemon zest, toasty brioche, and a crystalline minerality. A zing of acidity keeps this wine lively and fun, balanced by a rounded mouthfeel from time on lees. Zero dosage for a true taste of these historic grapes."

"Sourced from Chardonnay originally planted in the 1970s by Charles Fournier for Gold Seal, Wiemer's 2020 Blanc de Blanc Standing Stone is fresh, citrusy, lean and crisp, with a dosage of just two grams per liter. Disgorged after 42 months on the lees, it shows a pale straw hue, fine bead and an almost-creamy mouthfeel, but it finishes zesty and refreshing."
