In 2015 Noah and Kelly Dorrance launched Reeve Wines on a wild and rolling hillside estate property in Healdsburg, California, as an exploration of Noah’s love for California wines with verve and intensity, produced from land that tells a story.

Although Kevin Harvey is better known for his work in the technology sector (he sold his first company to Apple, which used it to develop the Macintosh, sold his second company to Microsoft, and started Benchmark Capital, which has provided seed money for the likes of Facebook and Uber), he is equally passionate about wine. A lover and collector of Burgundy, he began to think about attempting something similar in the United States and went so far as to go to Burgundy and convince his vigneron friends to let him dig pits in their vineyards to study the soil. After a long search for the most comparable terroir in the US, he settled on Santa Cruz Mountains, and later, the Anderson Valley of Mendocino. Sparing no expense in the construction of the winery and the tools he provided his winemakers–including being the only winery who uses French oak barrels made exclusively from for four-year-aged staves–the wines are an exercise in the pursuit of perfection.
