Tasting Notes
Darker fruits, bordering on purple, jump out of the glass like fireworks, combining with a savory edge classic to Santa Cruz. The palate reminds us of a perfect blood orange – mild phenolic bitterness wrapped up in mouthwatering red fruit. The tannins are in a perfect spot, firm but never overbearing. All together, an excercise in balance. Stunning.

"The 2023 Pinot Noir Trout Gulch is laced with crushed red berry fruit, iron, mint, chalk and white pepper. The style is one of sinewy energy more than anything else. Beams of tannin and acid shape the lean mid-palate and finish. This is wine for readers who enjoy tense, savory reds."
