"Full-bodied for a coastal pinot, with pleasing aromas of blue and tart red fruit, woodsy and herbal botanicals like pine and juniper berries and flavors of dried cranberries. On the palate it achieves weight without heaviness and concentration without richness. A wine this structured needs time. Drink after 2027."

"The 2023 Pinot Noir Lejano comes from a blend of sites in the Sonoma Coast. Cool-toned, herbaceous and deeply spiced, the Lejano is nicely lifted by the inclusion 25% whole clusters. Rose stem, rhubarb, raspberry, iodine and white pepper nuances saturate the palate, supported by a framework of fine, powdery tannin and sneaky tartness."
