"Salt and pepper minerality with pears and stone fruit on the nose. Light-bodied with an almost off-dry style, this has a lean palate with refreshing acidity and a raw finish. Drink now."

"The 2024 Pinot Grigio opens with a nuanced blend of wet stones, chamomile and freshly sliced pears. It is soft-textured and round, with ripe orchard fruits and a subtle mineral underpinning. The finish is medium in length and clean, leaving a steely resonance."

"Aromas and flavors of salt, pepper, minerals, bright green apples and bitter oranges. Very textured on the palate, with a medium body, a refined and balanced structure and a peaty finish. Drink now."

"Packaged in a slender and tall bottle (with 12,000 bottles released), the 2021 Alto Adige Valle Isarco Pinot Grigio offers a tight and linear expression of this versatile grape with the high-altitude freshness and pinpoint definition that we can expect of the Valle Isarco, probably one of Italy's best-kept secrets for white wines. Winemaking is split between stainless steel and tonneaux. This wine is icy and sharp with lemon, underripe pear and lovely mineral or salty notes on the close. This is not your everyday Pinot Grigio."

"The 2021 Pinot Grigio impresses with an unexpected richness as crushed yellow apples, incense and ginger easily swirl up from the glass. There's a pleasant inner sweetness offset by brisk acidity. Tropical melon and sour citrus mingle on the palate. This lingers impossibly long, with a staining of salty concentration and candied lime that keep me looking back to the glass for more. This is next-level Pinot Grigio."

"Pure and minerally-driven nose with crushed stones, lime and sliced apples. Austere and sharp acidity on the medium-bodied palate with chalky white fruit and a zesty, saline finish. Good texture and purity. Drink now."

"The Köfererhof 2023 Alto Adige Valle Isarco Pinot Grigio (with 14,000 bottles made) is produced with fruit grown in Alpine conditions at an icy 650 meters in elevation. Made in 50% stainless steel and 50% large oak casks, this crisp white wine is beautifully fresh and aromatic with mountain flowers and white freesia. You may know Pinot Grigio as a commercial workhorse grape, but this bottle gives you a rare glimpse of its very best traits."

"The 2022 Pinot Grigio is delicate and floral, with a nuanced blend of young peaches and nectarines complemented by spring flowers and pine. It's soothingly round with a pretty inner sweetness and ripe white pit fruits that cascade throughout. This finishes with staining length yet is remarkably fresh, leaving a mineral tinge that calls the taster back to the glass."

"The Kerschbaumer family has maintained this eight-century-old estate in Italy's Alto Adige region since 1940, and continue to keep the production small and focused. They mostly ferment in stainless steel except here with their Pinto Grigio, which is fermented in Acacia wood. The nose has soft, mild fruit with a waft of saline. There is just a wonderful structure on the palate with grippy acidity and rich, ripe fruit to match. It,s a very quaffable wine that leans into the lean in just the right way."
