Tasting Notes

The world’s first premium Himalayan Dry Gin, Hapusa, which translates to “juniper” in Sanskrit, sources its juniper from pine forests near the snow line of the Himalayas. This juniper forms the foundation for this wheat-based gin and provides the structure around which the rest of the botanicals are purposefully arranged. Additional botanicals are all locally sourced and include turmeric, coriander, cardamom, ginger, mango, almond, and gindhoraj, one of the oldest varieties of lime in the world. Distilled in a copper pot still in Goa, India, by Nao Spirits’ Master Distiller Jay Dhawan, Hapusa Himalayan Dry Gin is simultaneously robust and delicate. Juniper leads on the nose with the addition of lime and wildflowers. The palate is soft and round, bolstered texturally by the almond and mango, with coriander, ginger, and a touch of cardamom. 43% ABV.
