"The 2021 Echézeaux Grand Cru has a fruit-driven nose with redcurrant, strawberry wine gums and light stemmy scents that hover in the background. It shows fine delineation and improves in the glass. The palate offers finely woven tannins, well judged acidity and a patina of oak to be subsumed, but in this case there is sufficient fruit to soak it up. It discreetly fans out on the finish, completing one of the better wines from this Grand Cru. Tasted blind at the Burgfest tasting."
