  • Distilled at The Great Northern Distillery (GND), Dundalk, Co Louth, Ireland
  • A vatting of three styles of single malt distilled in copper pot stills from Irish barley: 10% peated, triple distilled, and aged in ex-bourbon casks, 50% unpeated, triple distilled, and aged in ex-Oloroso sherry casks, and 40% unpeated, double distilled, and aged in ex-bourbon casks
  • Non-age statement; aged 3–4 years
  • A nose of flamed cinnamon, toasted barley, and shoe leather on wet stone leads to a silky palate of crème pâtissière and lemon zest. A waxy finish spikes with peat and pleasant arugula bitterness.
  • No added coloring
  • Non-chill filtered; 43% ABV

Two Stacks introduces a single malt to their core range aged in ex-bourbon and Oloroso barrels. With comforting and sonorous character, this expression is most easily compared to a peated Highland Scotch, retaining all the approachability one might crave from an Irish whiskey.

"Irish whiskey bonder Two Stacks continues to impress with this single malt sourced from the Great Northern Distillery. A fairly complex blend of triple and double distilled whiskeys aged in a mix of ex-bourbon and Oloroso sherry casks, this expression packs notes of stone fruits, mixed nuts, and a touch of caramel. Peated malt makes up 10 percent of the blend, adding a pleasing layer of earthy smoke to the whiskey's overall profile."

"Lush and rich on the nose, with smoked orange slice, candied orange peel, juicy raisin, vanilla, peat smoke, roasted walnut, and jellied fruits. Warm orange and nutty flavors, with fudge, vanilla, marmalade, and plum, then smoke drifts in to ride a wave of oak spices, rich dark chocolate, and nutty praline. Full flavored, complex, and moreish."
