"Based on 100% Syrah from 40- to 60-year-old vines and aged 18 months in 20% oak barrels with the balance in tank, the 2023 Crozes-Hermitage Les Hauts Granites offers beautiful red and black fruits, spring flowers, spice, and some peppery, meaty, mineral notes on the nose. It's medium-bodied, nicely textured, ripe, round, and supple, with soft tannins and tons of upfront appeal. I love its overall balance. Drink this charming effort over the coming decade or so. Drink 2026-2036."
