"I loved the 2022 Crozes-Hermitage Clos Les Cornirets, another incredibly classy wine from this team. Red and black fruits, graphite, sappy flowers, and spicy oak all define the aromatics, and it hits the palate with medium-bodied richness, a concentrated, layered mouthfeel, ripe tannins, and a great finish. Made from 100% Syrah and aged 12 months in 20% new oak barrels, it will benefit from 2-4 years in the cellar and drink brilliantly over the following decade. Drink 2027-2037."

"The 2022 Crozes-Hermitage Clos Les Cornirets outperforms the 2021 I tasted last year, opening with wood smoke, cedar, black cherry and flesh elements. Medium-bodied and savory, the 2022 bundles vivid freshness and closes with resonance on the structured finish. Give it two more years in bottle to come around."
