"The 2023 Chassagne-Montrachet Caillerets 1er Cru has a nicely detailed bouquet of crushed stone and flint that opens discretely with aeration. A light fish scale scent/oyster shell comes through, saline and poised. The palate has a little more weight and girth than the other cuvées, and there is a little more extract than the Clos Saint-Jean on the finish. Bon vin."

"The 2023 Chassagne-Montrachet 1er Cru Les Caillerets is terrific, mingling aromas of pear, orange zest, toasted hazelnuts, white flowers and wet stones in an inviting bouquet, followed by a medium to full-bodied, dense and layered palate that's concentrated and structured, concluding with a long, chalky finish."

"The 2020 Chassagne-Montrachet Les Caillerets 1er Cru has a harmonious, almost understated bouquet armed with real mineralité and complexity. It is so nuanced but reveals more tropical scents, such as mango and passion fruit, after ten minutes. The palate is well-balanced with a waxy-textured opening. With fine acidity, it's pretty compact on the mid-palate with a lot of extract towards the finish. This needs time to really show what it can do. Tasted blind at the annual Burgfest tasting."
