"The 2023 Chardonnay Trout Gulch bristles with citrus, oyster shell, chalk, white pepper and mint. In this cold, late-ripening year, the Trout Gulch (a late site) is especially nervy and tightly wound. Brisk saline notes support the long, racy finish. This is a very pretty and expressive Chardonnay, but it needs air to be at its most expressive."
