"The 2019 Cabernet Sauvignon is a quintessential wine from this property. Firm and classically built, the 2019 exudes mountain energy. Dark cherry, plum, grilled herbs, bay leaf, incense, licorice and tobacco all race across the palate. I would give this muscular Cabernet Sauvignon at least a few years to soften. It's pretty impressive in the early going."

"The nose shows an array of blue and black fruit, with underlying notes of violets, mulberries and cloves. The palate is full-bodied and structured, with finely integrated tannins, bright acidity and notes of blackcurrants, tobacco leaves and cedar. A very polished wine from a tough vintage, made from a blend of 86% cabernet sauvignon, 6% cabernet franc, 6% malbec and 2% petit verdot. Drinkable now, but best from 2028."

"The 2020 Cabernet Sauvignon is a very good wine, especially for the year. Dark, savory and inviting, this is a terrific example of an Old-World style on Moon Mountain. Dried herbs, tobacco, incense and licorice meld into a core of intense dark fruit. The heat of the vintage is evident, and yet all the elements are very nicely balanced."
