Eigashima Shuzo

Single Malt Whisky 'Akashi'

Single Malt Whisky, 'Akashi', Eigashima Shuzo [White Oak]
  • A lightly peated single malt whisky from the legendary Eigashima Shuzo, the first distillery in Japan to receive a license to distill whisky in 1919
  • Aged approximately 5-8 years in ex-bourbon, barley shochu, and sherry casks, as well as new oak barrels
  • A lush, yet delicate palate with notes of yellow apple, white chocolate, and a prominent hit of salted caramel. Subtle peat and oceanic salinity ride a long, buttery finish.
  • 46% ABV

Due to Eigashima Shuzo’s coastal climate, Akashi whiskies are imparted with a unique briny quality that is especially apparent in the Akashi Single Malt.
