40% Garganega, 30% Fernanda, 15% Trebbiano and 15% Trebbianello. This wine takes its name from the Prince Amedeo of Savoy, who fought in the war for Italian independence and was wounded at Cavalchina in Custoza. The grapes are hand harvested and cryo-macerated before being pressed. Fermentation occurs in stainless steel tanks. The wine then remains on its lees until bottling takes place in May. The wine is released in September following harvest.

"Calvalchina's Amedeo is always one of the best Custoza Superiores out there and the 2023 is no exception. It entices with delicate scents of hawthorn that intertwine with white stone fruit, botanical herb and the barest hint of pastry dough. Elegantly structured, the medium-bodied, polished palate boasts savory flavors of white peach, ripe yellow pear, baking spice and citrus underpinned by a saline note. Fresh acidity keeps it lifted and balanced. Drink or hold for even more complexity. Abv: 13.5% Kerin O'Keefe June 2025"

"A restrained almondy wine full of white stone fruit and broom flowers. Light- to medium-bodied, it shines with freshness and a tight yet polished finish. Drink now."
