Apple in Oak Barrel, Hans Reisetbauer

Ripe apples comprised primarily of the Jonagold variety are harvested in September and October and fermented for 14 days. After distillation, the eau-de-vie spends a minimum of five years in oak, resulting in an aged dram reminiscent of panettone and candied orange peel. It takes 11 kg of apple to make one liter of Apple in Oak. 44% ABV
