"The 2021 Pinot Noir Ruppertsberger Reiterpfad an den Achtmorgen Grosses Gewächs was grown on densely planted limestone, clay and sandstone. This spent 18 months in new barrique. Toastiness, morello cherry and raspberry leaf make for an attractive nose. The palate also carries a gentle leafiness and brightness that clash a little with the oak. Allow this time to integrate. The palate holds enough fruit and freshness that will pull it through. (Bone-dry)"

"The 2019 Ruppertsberger Reiterpfad An den Achtmorgen Pinot Noir GG VDP.Grosse Lage shows a matured dark ruby color and opens with toasty and smoky aromas of dark berries, red cherries and some notes of autumn leaves. Dense, rich and sweet on the palate, this is a medium to full-bodied yet generous, mouth-filling and still quite oaky Pinot Noir with remarkable freshness and self-confident astringency on the intense and robust finish. Compared to the bottle I tasted a year and a half ago, it's rather disappointing. 13% stated alcohol. Natural cork. Tasted in July 2024."
