A Viticulturalist husband and his beekeeper wife bought this tiny estate from its original owners in 2009. True salt-of-the-earth Montalcinese, they craft traditional, supremely elegant wines from the historic, high-elevation Scarnacuoia cru, home of the first monovarietal plantings of Sangiovese.

Begun as a small 3 ha. farm in the Lunigiana, a mountainous area at the nexus of Tuscany and Liguria, Terenzuola is influenced by both the Mediterranean and Apuan Alps, producing wines with incredible balance of fruit, minerality, acidity and complexity. Certified organic with 2020 harvest.

Maybe no one is more Montalcino than Enzo Tiezzi – his graduate thesis laid the groundwork for the Rosso di Montalcino DOC. Since 1989 he has produced traditional, rich and rustic expressions from his 10 ha. in In Cerrino, Cigaleta, San Carlo and Soccorso vineyards just outside the old city center.
