Established in 1922 and currently run by 4th-generation owner Tada Inoue, the brewery has consistently been an innovator in the industry. A trip to Bordeaux in 1985 inspired Inoue-san’s father to embrace a terroir-driven philosophy to sake making which at the time was unheard of. While making a wide range of styles, they specialize in the rich, creamy and off dry sake characteristic to the Fukuoka region.
