The first vines at The Terraces, originally called Quarry Vineyard, were planted on steep hillsides in 1981 by Wayne Hogue, divided equally between Cabernet Sauvignon and Zinfandel. The Crull family purchased the property in 2001, and grew to Chardonnay, Petite Sirah, Cabernet Franc, and Riesling.
Tidings is the personal project of Napa Valley winemaker Reid Griggs, focused on classically styled, single-vineyard Cabernet Sauvignons made with restraint, patience, and reverence for site. Produced in small quantities and guided by traditional technique, the wines rely on wild yeasts, careful élevage, and time rather than manipulation.
