The story of Tenuta Le Origini 1919 begins with the Fiorini family, whose connection to Emilia-Romagna and its winemaking traditions dates back more than a century. In 1919, the family’s first vineyards were planted between Panzano di Campogalliano and Ganaceto, just outside Modena, where five generations of the Fiorini family have cultivated Lambrusco, one of the region’s defining grape varieties.

Growing up among the vineyards planted by his father Ugo, Giuseppe Fiorini developed a lifelong passion for viticulture and winemaking that would help shape the future of the family estate. His passion was carried forward by his children, Cristina and Alberto, and today by the fifth generation represented by Luca and Matteo. In the new millennium, the family expanded into the hills of Bologna, recognizing the area’s suitability for Lambrusco Grasparossa, Lambrusco di Sorbara and Grechetto Gentile and embracing a philosophy inspired by the cru system, with the belief that each vineyard possesses distinct characteristics capable of shaping the identity of the wines they produce. Today, two generations continue to work side by side, preserving and evolving a tradition that has endured for more than one hundred years.

Harvesting fruit from both historic vineyards near Modena and hillside sites in Bologna, Le Origini produces distinctive expressions of Lambrusco di Sorbara and Lambrusco Grasparossa, as well as the acclaimed “A Giuseppe,” a tribute to the man who helped shape the identity of the estate.

Sustainability remains one of the winery’s core values. Since 2019, the vineyards have been farmed according to certified organic standards alongside biodynamic practices, reflecting a holistic approach and deep respect for nature and its rhythms. The grapes continue to be harvested by hand, following a tradition that emphasizes quality and careful attention.

Since 2023, Tenuta Le Origini 1919 has entered a new phase, uniting more than a century of family history with a renewed vision for the future while remaining firmly connected to the traditions of Emilia-Romagna.
