Domaine Chene Pere et Fils

Cedric Chêne is the 5th generation to make wine on his family’s estate in the village of Berzé la Ville. Since taking charge in 1973, he has focused on improving the farming practices of the domaine, with constant ploughing of the vines and decreased yields during harvest. He maintains a very hands off approach in the cellar, using only indigenous yeasts for fermentation and stainless steel tanks to preserve freshness. Cedric makes wine the way the harkens back to the classics, using very traditional methods. The results are stunning wines that are laser-pure expressions of high altitude Chardonnay.
