"Among the greatest sweet wines in the world. Let's get that straight. Only equalled by Germany. There is density and concentration sure, but the drying process of the grapes evinces an uncanny phenolic authority as much as the altitude of the vineyard sourcing and saline tendency of the volcanic soils, impart freshness. Despite the generosity of quince paste, torrefied almond and the bitter orange marmalade pithy finish, this is akin to an electric toothbrush whirring through the mouth and sweeping the sugar away to the point of palpable dryness. Brilliant!"

"From one of the top Soave UGAs, on the volcanic slopes of Monte Foscarino, This vintage of Sandro Gini's classic Recioto has a typically refined nose with discrete nectarine, lime blossom, honey and a note of caramel. On the palate there is an airy quality of great finesse, lovely balance and great freshness on the finish, which hovers between sweet and dry. A symphony of elegance."
