Zinfandel Stagecoach Robert Biale

Stagecoach Vineyards in its entirety is no ordinary vineyard location–it is more like its own district in and around Atlas Peak, Pritchard Hill, and Oakville that encompasses hundreds of acres of prime mountain vineyards that supply dozens of winemakers with some of their most prized grapes. The 2016 Stagecoach is not just a captivating Zinfandel, but a serious red wine that shows the traits of what makes Napa Valley wines renowned and in-demand around the world. Layered, nuanced, sophisticated, and redolent with bold and ripe aromatics. This wine explodes out of the glass with wild blackberries, jasmine blossom, cola, notes of dried sage, wild iris and compote of mixed berries. Firm and succulent mid-palate tannins make for a long and juicy finish. This is a Zinfandel to drink and keep for five years or more. 419 cases produced.

"A fruity, supple and delicious red with a velvety texture. Notes of red berries, cinnamon and fresh herbs. Medium-bodied with round tannins. Well-balanced, focused and creamy with a fruit-loaded finish and a touch of spiced chocolate. Drink or hold."

"Aromas of mountain pine and wet rocks mix in the palate with flavors of black cherry and sarsaparilla. This prestigious vineyard delivers a Zinfandel that is full of fruit yet also savory, with energy and length. Tannins are finely polished and the finish mouthwatering and persistent. —E.C.B."

"Impeccably structured and polished, this is a standout Zin. Offers richly detailed blackberry and cherry flavors that take on licorice, briar and stony mineral notes as this builds richness toward medium-grained tannins. Drink now through 2035. —T.F."
