Like all Ohishi whiskies, the Sherry Cask 15 Year is distilled from a combination of estate-grown and locally sourced malted and unmalted grains which undergo a 21-day fermentation before being distilled in stainless steel pot stills. The spirit is then aged 15 years in ex-sherry casks, resulting in a decadent whisky displaying aromas that instantly allude to its extended sherry influence. Rich, spicy oak, dried apricot, and maple syrup show prominently on the palate with a finish of prune, mushroom, and nutmeg.
