"2017 was a vey dry year that was also marked by frosts in spring and some hail, so quite challenging overall. The grapes for the 2017 Quinta Apolonia were harvested earlier than ever, starting on August 24th. The challenge here was to keep freshness and balance, and they managed nicely, while also respecting that almost-forgotten varietal character of the Verdejo grape, with its characteristic bitterness in the finish. 48,654 bottles produced. It was bottled in March 2018."

"The 2023 Quinta Apolonia was aged mostly in concrete and stainless steel, with the remainder in larger vessels. Yellow in color, it opens with aromas of papaya, pastry cream and a hint of apple and water pear. The palate is broad and textural, showing malic tension and a creamy, voluptuous mouthfeel. A distinctive take on Verdejo with intensity and depth."

"The young 2023 Quinta Apolonia is varietal and fruit-driven, with aromas of white flowers and pollen, white fruit, elegant and nuanced. It's clean, transparent and fresh, with moderate ripeness and 13.5% alcohol, with a dry, chalky mouthfeel. It's their youngest white, a blend of Verdejo from 23 different plots on their estate property."

"The 2022 Verdejo Quinta Apolonia, originating from the DO Rueda, spent up to one year in French oak, 25% new. The nose unfolds with notes of peach, melon, quince and fennel. Creamy and saline on the palate, the velvety and refreshing flow lingers long on a balanced and concentrated finale. This is distinctive and delicious."

"They were very happy with 2020, a vintage they compared with 2018; it was a very balanced year with very good yields and with a lot of rain, and they had oidium and mildew. The 2020 Quinta Apolonia shows open, expressive, ripe without excess and with a varietal nose. In 2020 they introduced a mechanical sorting, and that might have increased the purity and precision of the wines. It has 13.6% alcohol and a pH of 3.4. They produced 69,000 bottles and 1,940 magnums. It was bottled in May 2021."

"Aromas of Seckel pear and sage leaf waft from the glass. This full-textured white has flavors of Fuji apple, pineapple, grated ginger and orange blossom with citrus notes that linger on the tastebuds. Skurnik Wines, Inc. ‡M.D."
