"Broad and welcoming with an ambrosial tropical richness and an engulfing oak-infused texture which is rewarded by the lemon zest acidity and long, nurturing finish."

"DWWA 2026 Silver Medal: Yellow apple, ripe yuzu and white flowers on the nose. A juicy palate with vanilla pod and toasty oak nuances."

"The Douloufakis 2025 Vidiano Aspros Lagos is a richer and more ambitious expression of Vidiano, shaped by barrel fermentation and aging in acacia and French oak. Aromas of white peach, melon, honey and white flowers are accented by hints of cinnamon, nutmeg and crushed oystershell. The palate fills out beautifully across the mid-palate, showing concentration, texture and a faintly waxy character that carries throughout the finish. Produced in 20,000 bottles, the wine balances Mediterranean generosity with a subtle mineral edge. The acidity remains moderate, but there is enough substance here to suggest positive evolution over the next four to five years. One wonders whether additional bottle age might bring the buttery, honeyed nuances reminiscent of mature white Burgundy, a possibility that remains tantalizingly open."
