"Green pineapple and candied lemon lead. Saline citrus and wet-stone minerality shape a compact, lightly chewy palate. Granny Smith and red apple with fresh bay leaf notes. Long and clean."

"The 2024 Verdicchio di Matelica has a notably fruit-forward personality but retains fantastic balance. It opens with a pretty blend of crushed green apples, nectarine, wild herbs and white smoke. This is deeply textural and punches above its weight. The 2024 mixes the verve and mineral intensity of Matelica with the sunny character of the vintage in an attractive way."

"The 2022 Verdicchio di Matelica lifts from the glass with a gorgeous blend of chamomile, lime zest and crushed nectarine. It™s round and soft-textured with a salty spike of minerality up front, further enhanced by brisk acidity as tart orchard fruits cascade across the palate. The 2022 tapers off crisp, refreshing and quite saline in character, leaving the mouth-watering as hints of sour melon fade."

"The Bisci 2021 Verdicchio di Matelica is terrifically fresh and vertical, boasting an extremely linear quality that is the hallmark of the Matelica subzone. This wine offers floral notes, tropical fruit and a spicy hint of white pepper. Matelica gets very cool at night, and those steep diurnal shifts are an important factor that shapes the character of this wine. It does a great job of keeping the palate refreshed. This is a big production of 86,712 numbered bottles."

"A bright and tangy white, with an aromatic overtone of mandarin orange peel and freshly chopped rosemary and oregano. Lightly waxy in texture on the palate, which shows notes of baked pear, blanched almond and white blossoms. Drink now through 2027. 9,261 cases made, 3,000 cases imported. "Alison Napjus"
