"The 2023 Torrontes Old Vines from Anfora in Río Negro, Patagonia, opens with aromas of cinnamon and grape skin alongside herbs, tuberose and white flowers reminiscent of geranium. Smooth, slender and with a gripping texture like that of grape skins. It's slightly reductive from the amphorae aging. Subtle. On the palate, it™s smooth, with a certain grip and a clay-like texture. The 2023 finishes rich and long with layers of complexity."

"The 2023 Old Vines from Patagonia Torrontes fermented and aged in clay amphora with 50% undergoing skin contact. It leads with lychee, citrus and the exuberantly sweet, floral perfume indicative of the grape, albeit rendered with an uncommon level of clarity and focus. The palate is a dramatic turn away from this luscious quality, instead displaying a chiseled, tensile and vibrant palate that carries through the similarly linear, stony finish."

"A unique, serious torrontes with plenty of yellow blossom and herbs. Orange peel and cloves. Full-bodied on the palate with plenty of tannins. An austere expression here with skin contact. Dry and deliciously chewy finish. Drink now or hold."
