"The 2024 Riesling Thörnicher Ritsch Im Schneidersberg Kabinett is from the coolest, stoniest parcel within the Ritsch that turns into the lateral valley. Whipped by cold winds, it was recultivated between 2014 and 2018 and was really hit by frost. Very little fruit was made from this site, less than 10 hl/ha. It shows a little reduction on the nose. The palate has all the coolness, stoniness and slaty depth of the site, with the beautiful concentration, freshness and absolute svelteness of an elixir-like Kabinett. What a wine. With 38 g/L of residual sugar against 8.5 g/L of acidity, the 2024 comes across as off-dry. Off-dry"

"The 2023 Riesling Thörnicher Ritsch Im Schneidersberg Kabinett marks the second vintage from a recultivated parcel on the steepest, poorest part of the Ritsch. Subtle stone, some reduction and lemon are shy on the nose. The palate offers red apple and orange sweetness, with fill and exquisitely fine acidity and a lovely vein of lively brightness."
