Thörnicher Ritsch:
The name Ritsch derives from the brittle gray slate soil. Due to the fragility of the soil it is not possible to build roads in this site. Up until shortly after WWII the Ritsch was one of the most esteemed sites along the Mittelmosel. By the end of the 19th century it even belonged to best-rated sites along the whole Mosel.

"For a young Mosel riesling Auslese this is remarkably drinkable. Incredibly bright with very focused citrus, lemon balm and caramelized pineapple aromas. Excellent concentration and finesse on the super-clean palate this has a wonderful balance. The finish moves with the precision and strength of prima ballerina over the palate. Barely off-dry for this category. Vegan. Drink or hold."
