Tasting Notes

The first whiskey to be distilled from barley grown at Tipperary’s Ballindoney farm, ‘Homegrown Barley’ was distilled at another Irish distillery under Stuart Nickerson’s expert supervision, to exacting distillation standards. The whiskey was then aged in Tipperary’s own warehouse in 1st-fill ex-Rioja casks and proofed with water that flows from the surrounding mountains. With an emphasis on the area’s unique terroir, each bottle of Homegrown Barley has a QR code through which details on grain type, soil, and planting conditions can be explored.
