• Blend of double retort copper pot still and twin column Coffey still rums distilled from 100% molasses
• Aged 14 years; tropically aged in Barbados for 8 years in ex-bourbon casks; aged in Liverpool, UK, for 4 years in ex-bourbon casks; aged 2 years in New York State in a Premier Cru Bordeaux cask
• Crème de cassis and rich vanilla on the nose transition to black currant, clove, cinnamon, and Sichuan peppercorn on the palate with a hint of underlying citrus and cocoa. An elegant finish of violet, plum, and graphite round out the experience.
• No sugar, coloring, or other additives
• Non-chill filtered; bottled at a cask strength of 55% ABV

Holmes Cay’s curation of limited, small batch rums continues with this single cask bottling—a blend of pot and column still molasses rums distilled at the legendary Foursquare Rum Distillery in Barbados. Initially aged a total of 12 years in ex-bourbon casks, this release was matured an additional 2 years in ex-Premier Cru (first growth) Bordeaux casks, imparting red- and purple-hued fruit tannin and earthy confection. With just a single cask released in 2023, this rare and refined expression is not to be missed.
