"Pilar Miranda and her husband Derek Mossman have been making small-production wines from old-vine parcels in Maule with their Garage Wine Co label since 2001. As the name suggests, this is a small-parcel selection from vines aged 65 years or more in a small vineyard block of bush vines in the heart of Maule. The grapes are fermented on the skins in amphorae and century-old clay tinajas, then the wine is aged with the skins (after removing seeds) for a further eight months in a combination of amphorae, plastic Flextanks and old barrels. Amanda Barnes MW: Inviting aromas of orange oil, bergamot and white blossom. A supple, almost silky mouthfeel. Delightful poise. Florencia Gomez: Perfumed and sweet-fruited, with elegant ripe mango and passion fruit on the palate. Lovely ash and incense complexity, and tons of drive. Savoury and inviting. Benjamin Gubbins: Lime and lemon verbena, wet stone, honey, umami. Some light tannic texture, lots of complexity and presence."

"Intense, perfumed nose exhibiting lots of jasmine, honeysuckle, gingerbread and honeyed peaches. A bit steely. Full-bodied and ample, with bright acidity and a long, phenolic-driven finish. Around eight months on skins. Drink or hold."

"Aromatically engaging for its mix of finger lime, ground ginger and hyacinth, which joins a Mount Olympus tea–accented core of peach and tangelo. A thread of saffron and honey notes chimes in as the core flavors play out on the long, clean finish. Drink now through 2028. 550 cases made, 165 cases imported."
