Grapes are selected in September when acidity and maturity have reached the perfect point for the base wine of sparkling production. These grapes are sourced from different southeast facing, chalky parcels that lend the wine freshness and warmth. The harvested grapes are transported in small cases directly into the cellar, where they are very gently and carefully pressed.

"Bründlmayer's NV Extra Brut Reserve, disgorged in April 2021 after almost four years on the lees, offers a very clear, intense but also subtle and elegant nose with smoky notes of ripe pears. Pure, fresh and intense, with fine oak flavors and delicate tannins, this is a dense but highly refined and refreshingly mineral Sekt with fresh lemon notes, a citric and a salty finish. This sparkling wine is in top shape and serves well as aperitif and as a partner for lighter dishes. Tasted from lot L 4349/07/17 in January 2022."
