- Mango-infused rum made with clairin distilled at the Dorcinvil Distillery in Saint Michel de l’Attalaye, Haiti, and finished in Jacksonville, Florida, by Saint Benevolence
- Master distiller Dr. Rev. Gueillant Dorcinvil
- A vatting of equal parts unaged Saint Benevolence clairin and bourbon barrel-aged Saint Benvolence clairin aged a minimum of one year, finished with a mango infusion
- A blend of mango varieties, locally sourced and dried in Florida, is macerated in high-proof Florida sugarcane distillate for 36 hours then blended with lime zest and cinnamon
- The infusion is then combined with the aged and unaged clairin
- The final blend is lightly filtered before bottling
- Aromas of fresh mango and sugarcane mingle with vanilla custard and orange zest before evolving into dried mango and lime leaf on the palate with a long, textural finish of mango juice
- 42% ABV
Saint Benevolence employs multiple varieties of mango (including Madame Francis, a traditional Haitian variety) to produce this vibrant portrait of the tropical stone fruit in all its dimensions, evoking fresh and dry fruit, juice and flesh, green skin and ripe, sweet pulp—all in one dynamic sip. Though Haitian-grown mangos cannot currently be imported into the US, this expression lovingly pays homage to the island’s traditional crop—and the local rum infusions made with it—while adding further depth with aged clairin. Don’t think twice before adding this spirit to your next Daiquiri, Ti’ Punch, Piña Colada, or even using it to split the base of a Vodka Martini. This bottling is a beautifully intuitive gateway to the world of clairin, and simply a delight to drink.
