"This has only been in the market for a few months at time of publication so it is still very young and tightly wound but its elegance is on show. Despite the rain and some disease pressure, they worked very hard in the vineyards to select only the best grapes for this blend. The oak is very well integrated, bringing fine grained woody tannin and some bitter freshness, and caressing the orange, apricot and floral character of the wine. Deserves time to reveal itself fully. 2026-33"

"The spicy 2022 Belondrade y Lurton was cropped from a warm and dry year when they had to harvest quite early. The nose shows no signs of excess ripeness; it feeels quite fresh and harmonious. It's elegant, surprisingly restrained, clean and with integrated oak, contained ripeness and 14% alcohol on the label. It's tasty and harmonious, finishing dry with a clean, long and chalky finish. It was bottled in July 2023."

"Extremely complex, sophisticated nose. Mouth-filling and creamy. You could confuse this with an absolutely tip-top white bordeaux, but perhaps this is better! Like fermented lemon drops. Really gorgeous flavours and texture. Utterly compelling. (JR) 14%"

"The 2021 Belondrade y Lurton is showing superb, pure, crystalline, clean, pure and expressive, delicate, elegant and subtle. The oak feels perfectly integrated despite being a very young wine. It has notes of white flowers, orange peel, hints of peach and dry hay and is quite varietal, with a faint bitter twist on the finish that, to me, is a textbook descriptor of the Verdejos from yesteryear. It has 13.8% alcohol and a pH of 3.8. 102,023 bottles, 2,533 magnums and some larger formats produced. It was bottled in July 2022."

"The 2021 Belondrade y Lurton, primarily Verdejo with a pinch of Viognier, hails from the DO Rueda. With a golden hue, aromas of lemon zest, asparagus and peaches unfold against a backdrop of toasted bread and flora. Creamy, ample and velvety on the palate, the well-calibrated acidity unleashes a flavorful finish. This nuanced Verdejo is nicely supported by oak aging. The 2021 Belondrade y Lurton, primarily Verdejo with a pinch of Viognier, hails from the DO Rueda.
