"The 2023 Riesling Dhroner Hofberg Réserve spent one year longer on lees and is the current release. It was not made in 2021 or 2022, but 2023 was deemed good enough. It was made from a special parcel planted in 1953 with loose-berried bunches. The nose is still clouded by a slight smokiness and a touch of waxiness, but the palate spreads out in all the generous and smooth fruitiness of 2023, with a juicy, mellow peach note. Slate and grapefruit meet in a profound, delicious core on this beautifully strait-laced wine. Bone-dry"
